It’s hard to slow down when your mind is always busy.
You move through your day without giving yourself much time to think about how you’re doing.
There’s always another email to answer, task to finish, person to call or problem to solve. Even when you finally have a quiet moment, your mind keeps going.
You think about what you should’ve said. You worry about what happens next. You remember something you forgot and feel like you need to deal with it right away.
Your body is tired, but your mind doesn’t seem to know how to stop.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t one big problem. It’s the weight of many small things building up over time.
You feel more tense than you used to. Small problems upset you. You have less patience with your partner or the people you care about. Things you once enjoyed now feel like more work.
You’re getting everything done, but you don’t feel good while doing it.
“Why can’t I relax when nothing is wrong?”
“I’m tired of thinking about everything all the time.”
“I keep putting things off, and then I panic.”
“I don’t know how to ask for what I need.”
“I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do. Why am I still unhappy?”
“I feel guilty whenever I take time for myself.”
“My partner and I talk, but we don’t feel close.”
“I wish I could stop being so hard on myself.”
You don’t need to have the right words before starting therapy. You also don’t need to wait for a crisis. Therapy gives you space to understand what has been wearing you down and what needs to change. You can begin with whatever feels hardest right now.
How we can support you
You can talk about what’s been weighing on you.
People don’t always look for therapy because they have a diagnosis. Sometimes you simply know that something feels off.
You feel worried, tired, disconnected or stuck in a pattern you don’t know how to change. You understand the problem, but doing something different still feels hard.
At Therapy with Empathy, you can talk about what’s happening without having to make it sound neat or clear. Your therapist will listen, ask questions and help you notice patterns that are difficult to see when you’re in the middle of them.
Therapy isn’t about being told what to do. It’s a place to better understand your thoughts, feelings, relationships and choices. Our Registered Psychotherapists work with adults and couples facing anxiety, ADHD, depression, relationship concerns, major changes, parenting stress and the pressure of caring for everyone else.
If you’re searching for a therapist near Tunney’s Pasture, you can attend appointments at our nearby Westboro office or meet online from anywhere in Ontario.

Anxiety therapy
Worry can take up a lot of space in your day. You replay conversations, expect something to go wrong or struggle to make simple decisions. Even when you know a fear is unlikely, your body still feels tense and alert.
Anxiety therapy helps you understand what sets off the worry and find ways to respond without letting it control every decision.

You care about each other but keep falling into the same argument. One person tries to talk while the other shuts down. A small disagreement becomes a much larger fight. Old hurts return, and neither person feels heard.
Couples therapy gives both partners a place to slow the conversation down, understand the pattern and talk about what is happening underneath the conflict.

Getting started
What starting therapy looks like
You don’t have to figure everything out before contacting us. Starting happens in three simple steps.
Book a free consultation
Choose a free 20-minute phone consultation with an available therapist. Briefly explain what brings you to therapy and ask questions before deciding whether to book a full appointment. You don’t need to share your whole story during this call.
See if it feels like a fit
The therapist will explain how they work and whether their areas of focus match what you need. Ask about in-person or online appointments, language, scheduling and what to expect from therapy. If you’re unsure who to choose, our team can point you toward an available therapist.
Attend your first session
Your first session is a conversation about what has been happening, what you want help with and what you want to be different. You don’t need a perfect list of goals. Meet in person at our Westboro office or through secure video from elsewhere in Ontario.
