Therapy in Westboro, Ottawa
Meet with a Registered Psychotherapist at our Westboro office or through secure video anywhere in Ontario. Therapy is available in English and French, and we’re accepting new clients.
You’re getting through the day, but it’s taking a lot out of you.
From the outside, it looks like you have everything handled. You go to work, care for the people around you, and keep up with what needs to get done. But inside, you’re tired.
But your mind won’t slow down. You keep having the same fight with your partner. You say yes when you want to say no. It takes all your energy to start a simple task. Or you don’t feel like yourself anymore, but you can’t fully explain why.
You spent months telling yourself that things aren’t bad enough for therapy. You think you should be able to solve this by yourself. But you don’t need to wait until life feels unmanageable before asking for support.
Therapy gives you a private place to say what you’ve been holding in. You don’t need the right words, a diagnosis, or a perfect list of goals before you begin. You can start with what feels hardest right now.
- “I can’t turn my brain off.”
- “We keep having the same fight.”
- “Everyone counts on me, but I’m exhausted.”
- “I have a good life. Why don’t I feel okay?”
- “My brain feels like it has too many tabs open.”
- “I feel alone even when I’m with my partner.”
- “I’m always tired, no matter how much I sleep.”
- “I’m my own worst enemy, no matter what I achieve.”
How we can support you
Therapy that starts with what’s happening in your life.
People don’t always reach out for therapy using a diagnosis. If you know you’re overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in a pattern, or tired of feeling the same way, you're in the right place. Our therapists work with adults, couples and mothers facing a range of concerns.
Anxiety therapy
Your mind jumps from one worry to the next. You replay conversations, imagine what could go wrong, or lie awake thinking about tomorrow. Even when nothing is happening, your body may still feel tense and alert.
Therapy can help you understand what sets off the worry, respond to anxious thoughts in a different way, and make more room for rest in your day.

You love each other, but lately most conversations are about schedules, bills, children or chores. Small issues become large fights, one person shuts down, or you both leave the conversation feeling unheard.
Couples therapy gives you space to slow the pattern down, understand what happens between you, and practise talking about hard things in a more direct way.

You know what needs to be done, but starting still feels hard. You lose track of time, forget important details, open too many tabs, or wait until a task feels urgent before you can act.
We offer therapy for adults living with ADHD-related overwhelm, shame, emotional ups and downs, and relationship stress. Therapy with Empathy does not provide ADHD assessments.

Things that used to matter to you feel far away. Getting out of bed, answering a message, making food or starting work can feel like too much. You may feel numb, sad, irritable or worn out.
Therapy gives you a place to talk about what has changed and take manageable steps toward feeling more present in your life.

You’re the person others count on. You remember what everyone needs, step in when something goes wrong, and agree to help even when you have nothing left to give.
Therapy can help you look at people-pleasing, guilt, boundaries, relationship patterns and the pressure to keep holding everything together.

Pregnancy and motherhood can bring worry, guilt, anger, exhaustion and changes in how you see yourself. You can love your child deeply and still find this part of life very hard.
We support mothers with pregnancy worries, postpartum stress, intrusive thoughts, identity changes, relationship strain and the weight of caring for everyone else. If you need to bring your baby to an in-person session, your baby is welcome.

Getting started
What starting therapy looks like
You don’t have to know which service or therapist to choose before reaching out. Starting with a short conversation can help you decide what makes sense.
Book a free phone consultation
Choose a free 20-minute phone consultation with an available therapist. You can share a little about what brings you to therapy and ask questions before booking a full session.
See if it feels like a fit
Your therapist will explain how they work and whether their areas of focus match what you need. If you’re unsure whom to choose, our team can help point you toward an available therapist.
Attend your first session
Your first session is a conversation about what has been happening, what you want support with and what you hope will change. You can meet in person in Westboro or online from elsewhere in Ontario.
