A free consultation is a brief, informal conversation (by phone or video) where you can share what brings you to therapy, ask questions about our approach, and get a sense of whether we’re the right fit for your needs.
There’s no commitment, no pressure, and no cost. It’s simply an opportunity to see if therapy with us feels like a good match before you book your first full session.

- If we seem like a good fit, we’ll help you book your first session. If we’re not the right match, we’ll do our best to point you toward resources or therapists who might be better suited to your needs.

- After the consultation, you’re free to take time to think it over, explore other options, or book your first session when you’re ready. There’s absolutely no pressure.
COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FREE CONSULTATION
“DO I HAVE TO BOOK A CONSULTATION BEFORE MY FIRST SESSION?”
- Yes. We require all new clients to complete a free 15-minute consultation before booking their first full session. This helps ensure we’re a good match and saves everyone time if we’re not the right fit for your needs. “
“CAN I SPEAK WITH MULTIPLE THERAPISTS BEFORE DECIDING?”
- Absolutely. If you’re unsure which therapist is the best fit, you’re welcome to book consultations with different members of our team.
“DOES MY PARTNER NEED TO JOIN THE CONSULTATION FOR COUPLES THERAPY?”
- Yes. For couples therapy, we require both partners to be present during the consultation. Since we’ll be working with both of you, it’s important that you both feel comfortable with the therapist and confident that we’re the right fit for your relationship.
“WHAT IF I’M NOT READY TO START THERAPY YET?”
- That’s completely fine. You can book a consultation to explore your options even if you’re not ready to commit to regular sessions. Therapy is a big step, and we respect your timeline.
“IS THE CONSULTATION REALLY FREE?”
- Yes. There’s no charge, no obligation, and no strings attached. We believe in making the first step as easy as possible.
“HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE CONSULTATION?”
- You don’t need to prepare anything formal. Just come ready to share a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of it. If you have specific questions, feel free to jot them down beforehand.
“WILL WE DIVE INTO MY ISSUES DURING THE CONSULTATION?”
- The consultation is more of an introduction than a therapy session. We’ll get a general sense of what you’re dealing with, but the real work happens in your full sessions. Think of it as a “meet and greet” rather than treatment.
“WHAT IF I DON’T FEEL LIKE WE’RE A GOOD FIT?”
- We completely understand. Finding the right therapist is crucial, and not every therapist is the right match for every person. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll do our best to suggest other resources or practitioners who might better meet your needs.
